📕पहला पाठ

एज्रा का ग्रन्थ 1:1-6

"जो प्रभु की प्रजा के सदस्य हों, वे येरुसालेम की ओर प्रस्थान करें और प्रभु का मंदिर बनायें ।"

येरेमियस द्वारा घोषित अपनी वाणी पूरी करने के लिए प्रभु ने फारस के राजा सीरुस को उसके शासनकाल के प्रथम वर्ष में प्रेरित किया कि वह अपने सम्पूर्ण राज्य में यह लिखित राजाज्ञा प्रसारित करे, “फारस के राजा सीरुस कहते हैं : प्रभु स्वर्ग के ईश्वर, ने मुझे पृथ्वी के सब राज्य प्रदान किये और उसने मुझे यहूदिया के येरुसालेम में एक मंदिर बनवाने का आदेश दिया है। ईश्वर उनके साथ रहे, जो तुम लोगों में से उसकी प्रजा के सदस्य हैं। वे लोग येरुसालेम में रहने वाले, इस्राएल के ईश्वर, प्रभु का मंदिर बनाने के लिए येरुसालेम की ओर प्रस्थान करें। जहाँ कहीं भी कोई इस्राएली हो, उसको वहाँ के लोग चाँदी, सोना, सामान, पशुधन और येरुसालेम में रहने वाले ईश्वर के मंदिर के लिए स्वेच्छित उपहार प्रदान करें ।" तब यूदा और बेनयामीन के परिवारों के अध्यक्ष, याजक और लेवी- वे सब लोग, जिन्हें ईश्वर से यह प्रेरणा मिली येरुसालेम में रहने वाले प्रभु का मंदिर बनवाने के लिए लौटने की तैयारियाँ करने लगे। उनके सभी पड़ोसी उन्हें चाँदी, सोना, सामान, पशु-धन, बहुत-से बहुमूल्य वस्तुएँ और स्वेच्छित उपहार दे कर उनकी हर प्रकार की सहायता करते थे ।

प्रभु की वाणी।

📖भजन : स्तोत्र 125:1-6

अनुवाक्य : प्रभु ने हमारे लिए अपूर्व कार्य किए हैं।

1. जब प्रभु ने सियोन के निर्वासितों को वापस ले आया, तो हमें लगा कि हम स्वप्न देख रहे हैं। हमारे मुख पर हँसी खिल उठी और हम आनन्द के गीत गाने लगे

2. गैरयहूदी आपस में यह कहते थे, "प्रभु ने उनके लिए अपूर्व कार्य किए हैं।" उसने वास्तव में हमारे लिए अपूर्व कार्य किए और हम अत्यन्त आनन्दित हो उठे

3. हे प्रभु ! मरुभूमि की नदियों की तरह हमारे निर्वासितों को वापस ले आ। जो रोते हुए बीज बोते हैं, वे गाते हुए लुनते हैं

4. जो बीज ले कर चले गए थे, जो रोते हुए चले गए थे, वे पूले लिए लौट रहे हैं, वे गाते हुए लौट रहे हैं।

अल्लेलूया ! तुम्हारी ज्योति मनुष्यों के सामने चमकती रहे। जिससे वे तुम्हारे भले कामों को देख कर तुम्हारे स्वर्गिक पिता की महिमा करें । अल्लेलूया !

📙सुसमाचार

लूकस के अनुसार पवित्र सुसमाचार 8:16-18

"दीपक दीवट पर रखा जाता है, जिससे भीतर आने वाले उसका प्रकाश देख सकें ।"

येसु ने लोगों से यह कहा, "कोई दीपक जला कर बरतन से नहीं ढकता अथवा पलंग के नीचे नहीं रखता, बल्कि वह उसे दीवट पर रख देता है जिससे भीतर आने वाले उसका प्रकाश देख सकें ।" “ऐसा कुछ भी छिपा हुआ नहीं है, जो प्रकट नहीं होगा और ऐसा कुछ भी गुप्त नहीं है, जो नहीं फैलेगा तथा प्रकाश में नहीं आयेगा। तो इसके सम्बन्ध में सावधान रहो कि तुम किस तरह सुनते हो। क्योंकि जिसके पास कुछ है, उसी को और दिया जाएगा और जिसके पास कुछ नहीं है, उस से वह भी ले लिया जायेगा, जिसे वह अपना समझता है।"

प्रभु का सुसमाचार।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

आज के सुसमाचार में प्रभु येसु हमें याद दिलाते हैं कि हर ख्रीस्तीय का कर्तव्य है कि वह विश्वास का साक्षी बने। प्रभु येसु कहते हैं: “कोई दीपक जला कर बरतन से नहीं ढकता या पलंग के नीचे नहीं रखता, बल्कि वह उसे दीवट पर रख देता है, जिससे भीतर आने वाले उसका प्रकाश देख सकें।” (लूकस 8:16) ईश्वर का वचन हमारे हृदय का दीपक है। इसे छुपाने के लिए नहीं, बल्कि दूसरों के सामने चमकाने के लिए दिया गया है। हमारा विश्वास केवल निजी जीवन या गिरजाघर तक सीमित नहीं रहना चाहिए, बल्कि हमारे हर कार्य, निर्णय और व्यवहार में झलकना चाहिए। एज्रा की पुस्तक हमें बताती है कि ईश्वर ही लोगों के हृदय को जगाता है ताकि वे उठकर मंदिर का पुनर्निर्माण करें। उसी तरह हमें भी अपने टूटे हुए संबंधों को सुधारने, अपने परिवारों में विश्वास को पुनर्जीवित करने और निराशा के बीच आशा फैलाने का आह्वान किया गया है। आज का मनन हमें चुनौती देता है : क्या मैं अपने विश्वास का दीपक डर, आलस्य या उदासीनता के कारण छुपा रहा हूँ? या फिर साहस के साथ उसे जलाकर दूसरों तक पहुँचा रहा हूँ? आज अपने विश्वास का अनुभव किसी के साथ साझा करें। अपने संघर्षों को ईश्वर के हाथों बीज के रूप में अर्पित करें—वह समय पर उन्हें फलदार बनाएंगे। साहस के लिए प्रार्थना करें कि आप समाज में एक स्पष्ट ख्रीस्तीय साक्षी बनें।

📚 REFLECTION

Today’s Gospel reminds us of the responsibility of every Christian to be a witness of Christ. Jesus says: “No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light” (Lk 8:16). The Word of God is a lamp in our hearts. It is not meant to be hidden. Our faith should not remain private, confined to our homes or churches, but must shine forth in our daily lives—through our words, actions, and choices. The more we live and share the Gospel, the brighter the light of Christ becomes in the world. Ezra reminds us that God stirs the hearts of people to rise and rebuild. Just as the exiles returned to restore the temple, we too are called to rebuild broken relationships, restore faith in our families, and bring hope where there is despair. Today’s reflection challenges us: Am I hiding my lamp of faith out of fear, comfort, or indifference? Or am I courageously letting it shine, even in small acts of kindness, justice, and truth? Share your faith story with someone today. Even a small word of encouragement can bring Christ’s light to another person. Offer your daily struggles as seeds before God—trusting that He will make them bear fruit in His time. Pray for courage to live as a visible Christian in society.

📚 मनन-चिंतन - 2

आज के सुसमाचार में बेईमान कारिन्दा की दृष्टान्त प्रस्तुत की गई है। पहली नज़र में यह अजीब लगता है कि प्रभु येसु उस प्रबंधक की प्रशंसा करते हैं जिसने अपनी ज़िम्मेदारी ठीक से नहीं निभाई। लेकिन प्रभु येसु उसकी चतुराई और दूरदर्शिता की सराहना कर रहे हैं। उसने परिस्थिति को समझकर तुरंत कदम उठाया और अपने भविष्य की तैयारी की। प्रभु येसु हमें आमंत्रित करते हैं कि हम भी अपने आध्यात्मिक जीवन में यही बुद्धिमत्ता और सजगता दिखाएँ। सुसमाचार हमें चुनौती देता है: “तुम ईश्वर और धन दोनों की सेवा नहीं कर सकते।” सांसारिक धन-संपत्ति अस्थायी है, लेकिन उसका उपयोग अनन्त परिणाम ला सकता है। धन, संपत्ति और योग्यताएँ अपने-आप में बुरी नहीं हैं, परन्तु ये हमें ईश्वर द्वारा सौंपे गए हैं। हमें इन्हें विवेकपूर्वक उपयोग करना है – गरीबों की मदद में, कलीसिया के कार्यों में, दूसरों की भलाई में – ताकि वे स्वर्गीय खज़ाने बन जाएँ। पहले पाठ (आमोस 8:4-7) में हमें चेतावनी दी जाती है कि लालच और शोषण से दूर रहें। ईश्वर गरीबों के साथ होने वाले अन्याय को देखते हैं। सच्चा विश्वास न्याय और दया से अलग नहीं हो सकता। दूसरा पाठ हमें सिखाता है कि हम सबके लिए, यहाँ तक कि शासकों के लिए भी प्रार्थना करें, ताकि शांति और पवित्रता में जीवन जी सकें। प्रार्थना, न्याय और दया—ये सब उस हृदय के चिन्ह हैं जो धन नहीं, बल्कि ईश्वर की सेवा करता है। यह रविवार हमें अपने जीवन की निष्ठाओं की जाँच करने का निमंत्रण देता है: क्या मैं अपनी संपत्ति और योग्यताओं का उपयोग केवल अपने लिए करता हूँ या ईश्वर की महिमा और दूसरों की सेवा के लिए भी करता हूँ? क्या मैं ईश्वर और लोगों की सेवा करने में अपने संसाधनों का सही उपयोग करता हूँ? क्या मैं “छोटी बातों” में भी ईमानदार हूँ—न्याय, सच्चाई और प्रेम के साथ? प्रभु येसु हमें याद दिलाते हैं कि यदि हम “छोटी बातों” में ईमानदार रहते हैं, तभी हमें बड़े खज़ाने सौंपे जाएँगे।

📚 REFLECTION

Today’s Gospel presents the Parable of the Dishonest Steward. At first, it seems strange that Jesus commends the steward, who was not faithful in his duties. But Jesus is not praising dishonesty—He is pointing to the steward’s prudence and foresight. The steward acted quickly, used the opportunity before him, and prepared for his future. Jesus invites us to show the same wisdom in our spiritual lives. The Gospel challenges us: “You cannot serve both God and wealth.” Earthly riches are temporary, but how we use them has eternal consequences. Money, possessions, and talents are not evil in themselves, but they are entrusted to us by God. We are called to use them wisely—sharing with the poor, supporting the Church, caring for others—so that they become treasures in heaven. The first reading from Amos warns us against greed and exploitation. God sees the injustice of those who cheat the poor for profit. True faith cannot be separated from justice and compassion. The second reading reminds us to pray for everyone, including those in authority, so that we may live in peace and holiness. Prayer, justice, and mercy are the marks of a heart that serves God above all. This Sunday calls us to examine our loyalties: Do I use my possessions and gifts for God’s glory, or only for myself? How am I serving both God and others with the resources entrusted to me? Am I faithful in “small things,” showing integrity, justice, and love in daily life? Jesus urges us to be faithful in little things so that we may be entrusted with greater treasures.

आज का सुसमाचार-भाग बहुत छोटा है और इसमें एक बहुत ही सरल संदेश है। प्रकाश का प्रकट होना एक सामान्य बात है। प्रकाश को छुपाया जाना एक असामान्य बात है। यहाँ किस प्रकाश की बात की गई है? 1 योहन 1:5 में हम पढ़ते हैं, "हमने जो सन्देश उन से सुना और तुम को भी सुनाते हैं, वह यह है - ईश्वर ज्योति है और उस में कोई अन्धकार नहीं!" नबी इसायाह ने प्रकाश के आगमन के रूप में मसीह के आने की भविष्यवाणी की थी। “अन्धकार में भटकने वाले लोगों ने एक महती ज्योति देखी है, अन्धकारमय प्रदेश में रहने वालों पर ज्योति का उदय हुआ है।" (इसायाह 9:2) येसु ने कहा, “संसार की ज्योति मैं हूँ। जो मेरा अनुसरण करता है, वह अन्धकार में भटकता नहीं रहेगा। उसे जीवन की ज्योति प्राप्त होगी।" (योहन 8:12) संत योहन के सुसमाचार की प्रस्तावना में येसु के आगमन की घोषणा पहले ही कर दी गई थी। "सच्ची ज्योति जो सब को प्रकाशित करती है, जगत में आनेवाली थी" (योहन 1:9)। दमिश्क की घटना का वर्णन करते हुए प्रेरित-चरित कहता है, "जब वह यात्रा करते-करते दमिश्क के पास पहुँचा, तो एकाएक आकाश से एक ज्येाति उसके चारों और चमक उठी।" (प्रेरित-चरित 9:3) पुनर्जीवित प्रभु के साथ संत पौलुस की मुलाकात एक महान प्रकाश के द्वारा हुयी थी। जो मसीह की ज्योति को ग्रहण करते हैं, वे स्वयं ज्योति बन जाते हैं। ईश्वर के इस प्रकाश को अंधकार दूर नहीं कर सकता (देखें योहन 1: 5)। पास्का मोमबत्ती का उपयोग पास्का जागरण तथा पूरे पास्का काल में हमें पुनर्जीवित ख्रीस्त के प्रकाश की याद दिलाता रहता है जो हर प्रकार के अंधकार पर विजय प्राप्त करता है। प्रत्येक नव बपतिस्मा प्राप्त व्यक्ति इस प्रकाश को प्राप्त करता है जिसे प्रतीकात्मक रूप से पास्का मोमबत्ती से जलाई जाने वाली छोटी मोमबत्ती द्वारा दर्शाया जाता है। आइए, हम अपने जीवन के साक्ष्य के द्वारा इस प्रकाश को हमारे आसपास के सभी लोगों के सामने प्रस्तुत करें।

📚 REFLECTION

Today’s Gospel-passage is very short and carries a very simple message. It is normal for the light to be revealed. It is abnormal for the light to be concealed. What is the light spoken about here? In 1Jn 1:5 we read, “This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.” Isaiah foretold the coming of the Messiah as advent of light. “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who lived in a land of deep darkness - on them light has shined” (Is 9:2). Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life” (Jn 8:12). The coming of Jesus was already announced in the prologue. “The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world” (Jn 1:9). Describing the Damascus event, the Acts of the Apostles says, “Now as he was going along and approaching Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him” (Acts 9:3). St. Paul’s encounter with the risen Lord was in a great light. Those who receive the light of Christ become light themselves. This light of God cannot be overcome by darkness (cf. Jn 1:5). The use of the Paschal candle at the Easter vigil and during the entire easter season keeps reminding us of the light of Christ which overcomes every form of darkness. Every newly baptised person receives this light, symbolically represented by the little candle lit from the Paschal candle. Let us, through the witness of our life, present this light to all who are around us.

मनन-चिंतन-3

जब कभी अंधकार होता है तो घरों मे दीपक जलाते है आज के समय में बल्ब या ट्यूबलाईट जलाई जाती है। दीपक या बल्ब को जलाने का मकसद प्रकाश करना होता है और कोई भी व्यक्ति जिसने प्रकाश के लिए दीपक या बल्ब को जलाया है उसको जलाने के बाद शायद ही उसके प्रकाश को छुपाने का कार्य करेगा क्योकि यदि उसे छिपाना हीे होता तो वह दीपक को जलाता ही नहीं। जलता हुआ दीपक एक प्रकार से एक मनुष्य में अच्छाई का प्रतीक है और जिस किसी में अच्छाई होती है उसकी अच्छाईयॉं छिपाये नहीं छिपती इसके विपरीत वह दूसरों के लिए कृपा और आशीष का माध्यम बन जाता है।

हम इस संसार मंे कुछ नहीं छिपा सकते और जिसे हम समझते है कि हमन छिपा के रखा है वह भले ही मनुष्यांे के नजरों में न दिखाई दे परंतु वह ईश्वर के नजर से छिप नहीं सकता; भले ही वह अच्छे चीज हो या बुरी चीज़। प्रभु हमारे अच्छाईयों और बुराईयों दोनो को देखता है। हिन्दी में एक अच्छा लोकोक्ति है, ’नेकी कर और दरिया में डाल’ अच्छाई करते जाओ, फल की ईच्छा मत करों क्योंकि अच्छाई छिपाये नहीं छिपती परंतु इसका फल जरूर मिलता है। हमारा दीपक हमेशा जलता रहें और दूसरों को प्रकाश दें।

📚 REFLECTION

Whenever it becomes dark then lamp is lit at home, in today’s time bulb or tubelight is being lit. The purpose of lighting a lamp or bulb is to light up the place and there may be rarely anyone who will cover up the lamp or bulb after light it on because if he/she wanted to hide the light then he/she might have not lit the lamp at all. Lighted lamp is a kind of sign of goodness in a person and anyone who has this goodness that goodness cannot be hidden; all the more it becomes a medium of grace and benevolence for others.

We cannot hide anything in this world and the thing which we think we have kept hidden, it may be not seen in the eyes of people but nothing can be hidden from the eyes of God; whether it is a good thing or bad thing. God sees both our goodness and badness. There is a good proverb in hindi, ‘Neki ker aur dauriya mein daal’ which means doing good without expecting for reward because the goodness can never be hidden but we will receive the reward for it by sure. May our lamp be always burn and give light to others.
