-फादर कपिल देव (ग्वालियर धर्मप्रान्त)Dear brothers and sisters, Jesus uses the simple example of a fig tree to teach His disciples how to recognize the signs of the times. When the branches become tender and leaves begin to appear, we know that summer is near. In the same way, Jesus invites us to pay attention to what God may be doing in our lives. God often speaks through ordinary experiences, but we may fail to recognize His voice. A difficult situation may be teaching us patience. A failure may be teaching us humility. A disagreement may be inviting us to learn forgiveness. A moment of loneliness may be drawing us closer to prayer. A word from Scripture may touch our heart at exactly the right moment. The important question is whether we are attentive enough to recognize these moments as invitations from God. We often ask God to give us signs, but sometimes we overlook the signs already present in our lives. Today’s Gospel also reminds us that God’s word remains forever. Many things around us change-people, circumstances, technology, possessions and even our plans. But God’s word remains firm. Therefore, our lives should not be built only on things that can change. We need a foundation that remains. That foundation is Christ and His word. Let us take time today to listen to God’s voice and examine where He is leading us. May we have eyes that recognize His presence, ears that listen to His word and hearts willing to respond.

मरिया (ग्वालियर धर्मप्रान्त)In today’s first reading, Saint John speaks to us about the second death. At the end of the world, judgment will be based on our deeds. Those whose names are not written in the Book of Life will face the second death, which means they will be cast into the deep abyss of the fiery furnace of hell. Jesus also speaks about the final judgment, saying, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Sometimes, concepts like heaven, hell, and final destruction seem unbelievable. One may wonder, "Will this really happen?" If it does, why do people seem to forget the difference between right and wrong? And if this is the case, the fiery furnace will be filled with countless souls. Jesus reminds us that it will indeed happen. He says, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."

Titanic was the giant and huge ship which was made of qualitative materials. It was a full-facility aided luxurious huge ship, which was made of then latest equipments; which was made with full safety measures. But we know what happened to that ship. On its first voyage from South Hampton to New York City, it sank after striking to an iceberg; a ship build with strongest and latest material, with full safety measures got sank.
This tells us that in this world whatever modern things, which is made of strongest materials one day it has to pass away. In other words everything in this world is impermanence, everything is mortal which has to go away one day. In yesterday’s gospel also we heard about the destruction of two things: one is the destruction of Jerusalem city and another is the destruction of the world; but in today’s gospel Jesus speaks about the thing which is indestructible and living and that is ‘his Words’. Lord Jesus says, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.’ In other words whether everything will be destroyed but the word of God is alive, active and sharper than any double-edge sword (Heb. 4:12).
On whom do we depend or on whom do we put our trust on while living in this world- on mortal things or immortal word of God. Mortal things cannot save our life, just as Titanic even after laced with all the facilities could not save the thousands from dying so also the mortal things cannot save us. But if we put our lives on the immortal or living word of God then it will take us to eternal life.
Let’s pray that we may look on the things which are immortal and put our trust in the living word of God. Amen!
